I play Eb Tuba for my local brass band. I am a member of their community band, which is open to anybody of any age and with any experience playing an instrument. There are many bands like this around the country.
If you would like to start learning a brass instrument, this is a great place to do this. Try contacting some local brass bands to see if they have community bands or similar, where you can start without any musical knowledge. It's great fun, a chance to meet new people, and often a chance to perform on stage for a short time.
